        Allen Vision Center has been providing quality, personalized eye care in Allen since 1983.
         Dr. Topfer provides comprehensive eye examinations for children and adults.  Dr. Topfer's comprehensive exam involves a careful determination of power (if it is needed) for your correction as well as an evaluation for the presence of eye disease, including glaucoma and cataracts.
         In addition to holding a general optometry license, Dr. Topfer also has a therapeutic optometry license which allows him to medically treat eye infections, remove foreign bodies from the eye and provide pre and post-operative care for patients having cataracts and refractive (laser) surgery.
         Dr. Topfer also provides contact lens evaluations and fittings for all types of contact lenses including disposable, astigmatism, multifocal, tinted, oxygen-permeable hard and custom lenses.  (On-Site polishing of hard lenses is also available.)
        
Our Optical Dispensary
     Our dispensary contains a wide selection of both designer and budget eye wear for all ages.  Our fully-trained staff provide guidance rather than high-pressure selling in helping you select eye wear for your particular prescription and facial characteristics. 
       We also have access to the lastest in lens technology including anti-reflective coatings, transition lenses (change from light to dark ), high index lenses (thin and lightweight), polarized sunglass lenses, and polycarbonate (impact resistant, great for kids and sports). 
        Our quality frames carry a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects and our anti-scratch coated lenses are warranted against scratches for one year.
Insurances
We currently are providers for United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, VCP, Cigna, EyeMed, and PHCS.  If we are not providers for your insurance, we can provide you with a detailed bill so that you can submit your claim.
Office Hours
     Allen Vision Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon Friday and Saturday.  We respect your time and make every effor to remain on schedule.
